What began as a side hustle in college finally formed into a small town studio focusing on creating big time brands.

Hello! My name is Chris, founder & owner, and I am going to give you a quick rundown about Driftwood and its origin story.

Driftwood originally started when I was in college studying design & marketing. I needed a summer job to pay for next year’s tuition, so I decided to try and freelance for myself. I didn’t really understand what I was getting into, but after barely scraping by all summer, I knew this was what I wanted to do eventually. Earning my own living & helping build companies to reach a higher gear they didn’t even know existed.

After finally graduating, I worked at a larger agency in Downtown Toronto for a couple of years to learn and build the skillset needed in order to succeed. I finally had the chance to make the leap and start Driftwood in October 2025, and it’s been the best decision ever made.
